photo-8.jpg The old-timers selling hooks

get sick of the questions.

The youth want answers now, and are

not willing to pay.

I will tell you why.

Old-timer, they didn’t grow up

in the comfort of  their country behind

a thin mask of duty propaganda.

Their flag is a stained bed sheet from the whores of war.

The kids’ placid eyes looked to long at the rising steam of

death to be innocent from the perversion.

Nothing shocks.  Nothing offends.

olds can be the reason for
not buying the books

and its the pain they’ll
somehow hide, behind the petals of their faces

because they know there are metaphors
waiting for the same youngsters
when they will carry petals beneath their eyes

they ask dun judge us by skin
and judge us by the same
as today we are selling the books

as propaganda sells
but how to tell you loved younger my being ones
the life we have had

please buy the books and spare me some more life
so that next day, when you’ll be similar

similarity shouldn’t be only
sharing of our graves….

take care

I’m loving your voice, Annie, it touches me where I’m sad.

You are an amazing poet. Sometimes I get so let down by my searches, always stumbling upon dumb, nothing shit. But people like you remind me that theres still a reason to keep reading other peoples stuff rather than just continually dump my own upon humanity. You have a wonderful talent, its nice to read, but sad its mostly women I find. Men have it easy, theres alot of deep interesting women. I know it sounds sexist but I have yet to read anything from a guy and maybe you wont agree-that delves s deep as a womans writing.

Men and Women have a lot to teach each other about what it means to be human. We are so similar – all humans but each has their own internal mind
-their own body experiences that shape the way they perceive and act. Men seek truth and love and friendship. There are peaceful and curious men. Men and women share in their ability to love and do acts of kindness. Men can be very expressive and straight forward in life and in art.

It is hard to find good writers or writers that appeal on blog land. They are out there but its hard to sort through all the heaps. Ray Sharp is another good writer on blog land. So is Poeticgrin

do we expect all men to be emotional intellectuals or perceptive
of others or curious or as empathic? Is there something different about men and women? What is the disconnect? What is not being communicated?
