I was suppose to make you laugh
Then you would relax and start a good time. Some of the hurt would leave your body and the anger would stop squeezing the base of your neck.
Your fists would relax into a hand
Your eyes would soften out water
But you didn’t laugh. You smashed a beer can on top of my head.
